Recent Bingo Videos I've Enjoyed

It seems that you cannot watch any television program these days without seeing an advert advertising an online bingo site or the program being sponsored by a bingo site. Tonight whilst writing this article I have seen 3 bingo adverts alone which proves my point! As it looks like bingo adverts are here to stay I thought I would review a few of the bingo adverts I have seen recently.

After a bit of an absence Foxy Bingo are now back on our tv screens with a vengence with the inimitable Mr Foxy at the forefront of their adverts. What I love most about their adverts is that they always seem to pick funky music to accompany the advert that make you tap along with your feet.

The recent Comic Relief advert was the culmination of the ‘Do Something Funny for Money’ Comic Relief Campaign where Mr Foxy was trained to dance by Strictly Come Dancing’s Kristina Rihanoff for the 30 second advert. Although the advert is great I actually prefer watching the training session video with Kristina myself to the actual advert.

One of the adverts I saw tonight was the new Wink Bingo one where a housewife is playing bingo at home in her pyjamas and celebrates her win by dancing around the room and then walking up the ceiling! Now I know as well as the next person that it’s a great feeling when you have a win but I certainly don’t start dancing round my living room. I wonder how many online bingo players actually do this, maybe I am just the odd one out lol.

One of the most annoying adverts I have seen in recent years has to be the one for Crown Bingo where two men in boiler suits jump into their truck to go and crown a bingo winner. This advert wouldn’t exactly make me rush out to join up at their site but I guess there is no way that you would not know what site it was advertising so I guess the marketing men are doing their job.

Mother's Day Bingo

Next Sunday, 22nd March, is that special day of the year, Mother’s Day, which gives you a chance to let your mum know how important she is to you. Although just because there is a day specific to Mother's Day there is no reason why you shouldn't tell her/spoil her at any other time of the year. It’s just an extra special day just for her.

Now what do you get your mum? I don’t know about your mum but mine doesn't like to have you spend money on her so it is always a struggle deciding what to get her. If you buy her the usual gifts of smellies or chocolates she is just as likely to give them to someone else instead of keeping them for herself. Therefore, I always try to get her something that she will have to do, that she cannot really give away, such as a day out somewhere or a night out.

I know that she enjoys her games of bingo so I have been trying to think of what bingo related gifts that I could get her. I know if I got her a voucher for her local Gala club then she would probably give it to one of her friends as she doesn't go very often herself. Therefore, I think I might take her to the Sunday sessions myself and then we can go out for a nice meal afterwards. I also thought about setting her up an account with one of the many online bingo sites but I don’t think she would like that as she is not very good on the computer!

I’ve also thought about taking her to a West End show as we took her to see Phantom of the Opera for her 50th birthday and she really enjoyed that. So I am thinking of doing something similar this year for her for Mother’s Day. There are plenty of websites with special offers but I think I am going to go with this one as it looks a great package for a meal out and a show. I'll even book us into a nice hotel for the night so that we don’t have to rush to get trains home.

However, if you want to treat your mum to a bit of rest or relaxation then why not book her up for a spa pampering package. Again there are plenty of sites with special offers. This is just one of them. Whatever you decide to give your mum, I hope that she has a fantastic day.

Christmas Bingo Fun

I can't believe that this time next week Christmas will be almost over for another year! It is Mum and Dad's turn to 'do' Christmas this year so everyone is coming over to ours for the day. There will be Mum, Dad, Nanna and Grandad, my brother Paul and his wife Sophie and their 3 kids plus of course me makes 10! Rather them than me although I'm sure that I'll get roped in to help out with the cooking or the preparations at least. How many Brussell Sprouts will I end up peeling?

Dad has asked me to sort out some entertainment for the afternoon so of course naturally I thought Bingo! I was going to buy one of those electronic bingo games that you can get to play along interactively but it was too expensive, I'd rather spend the money on going out. So I have decided to try something a little different. I was planning on making bingo cards based on words that symbolise Christmas rather than just numbers, but then I found this handy site where you can print off Christmas bingo cards for yourself.

I think I might also try and get everyone up doing some Bingo Karaoke as well. I can just imagine Nanna singing to this one.

or maybe even this one

I just hope we all sound better than these... well we can't be any worse

I did think of trying a pass the parcel game so that the kids were entertained as well as all kids love this game. The idea being that every numbered ball called you had to pass the parcel around that number of times but decided against that as didn't want to have to count up to 90 If that number ball was called out! We could probably still play this game if we maybe did a limited edition and only had numbers 1 to 20.

Well anyway better go and finish making the bingo cards so that they are ready for Christmas Day. Have a fantastic Christmas everyone.

Ebay Bingo Stuff

As I was at a bit of a loose end tonight, I decided to have a browse through Ebay to see what bingo related items people are selling and was actually very surprised to find that there were 1,102 items currently selling in various categories:
Toys & Games (493 listings) DVD, Film & TV (61 listings) Music (184 listings) Collectables (71 listings) Books, Comics & Magazines (61 listings) Business, Office & Industrial (22 listings) Crafts (33 listings) Home & Garden (39 listings) Jewellery & Watches (23 listings) Clothes, Shoes & Accessories (20 listings) Everything Else (32 listings) Local Services (28 listings) Video Games (13 listings) Health & Beauty (6 listings) Baby (6 listings) Wholesale & Job Lots (3 listings) Cars, parts & Vehicles (3 listings) Pottery, Porcelain & Glass (3 listings) Mobile & Home Phones (2 listings) Tickets & Travel (2 listings) Art (2 listing) Consumer Electronics (2 listings) Dolls & Bears (1 listing) Sports Memorabilia (1 listing)
As expected there was the predictable number of bingo dabbers and game cards but I decided to look at a few of the more obscure categories to see what else was being listed. Take the Baby category for example, 3 listings were for a bingo game for baby showers, 1 listing was for a Tomy Bingo Clown talking face and there were 2 listings for bibs with the slogan ‘My nan loves me and bingo’ awww very cute. Then there is the must-have accessory, well that’s what the listing says, of a Bingo Babe Flash/LED charm/key fob. Switch your phone to silent and then clip the fob onto your bag or belt and it will apparently flash every time you get a call or a text. Anyone fancy a bingo chicks watch? This is rather quirky and I quite fancy it myself so might just watch the listing to see if it sells. Not surprisingly some of the categories had nothing to do with bingo at all such as Health & Beauty and Cars, parts & Vehicles.

Have you seen the bet365 Bingo advert? Oh my! How funny is that? Watching TV the other day the adverts came on and usually I disappear to get another biscuit or a drink but the bet365 Bingo advert came on and I was glued to the screen. What an earth is with all these mutant people with bingo balls as heads? And what's more is why aren't the people with normal heads pointing and laughing at those with bingo ball heads. Can you imagine walking down the street and ever other person has a massive head like a bingo ball; you'd think you had been on some wacky backy or your drink had been spiked surely. The advert itself isn't too bad but my mind definitely worked overtime with the bet365 bingo advert. It was shown again a couple of hours later and I found myself trying to count how many bingo numbers were shown and testing myself out on the bingo calls! How sad is that? Maybe it's time for a career change! I'm only kidding, I love my job although sometimes I find myself dreaming about bingo - but I think that happens in any line of work. Please tell me it does! Back to the bet365 bingo advert - I think the music could have been a bit funkier for their advert, it's actually quite dull. How funny would it have been if they had used a metal track and head all those huge bingo heads head banging! Or having a backing track like the My Chemical Romance track "Teenagers" and a group of hooded teenagers walking down the street and all the bingo heads running into their local bingo hall! It's a misconception about teenagers but one that seems to stick with the older generation, being a Goth I am often avoided in the street by old people or given a nose turned up type of look. My clothes don't define me however; they are merely an expression of my individuality.

These Adverts Make Me Moist

There's been loads of great adverts on TV recently for them online bingo sites. I love them, every time they come on it makes me want to grab my markers and go rush to my club. But then I pinch myself and remember I don't need too, I can just switch on my PC. To be honest I love going to my club more than anything, the one group of ladies I often sit by are a scream, they're so rude it makes me blush! Nothing is sacred with them.

These adverts sort of give me that buzz and get me excited as they make me thing of the atmosphere at the club. I wish I could go more often, it's a great start to a night out, and there's none of the bull I get when I go to the drinking dens I usually bother with. Speaking of which, I'm now hooked on pear cider, it's lush, much better than that Magners stuff. Staying away from White Lightening though, had a nasty night on that a few weeks back.

Here's the ads I like from Foxy Bingo and Think Bingo, although I think the Think Bingo one is a bit of a con as it says £10 free, but I looked at the site and you have to spend £10 to get the free £10, unlike Foxy Bingo where they just give it to you free! That lady in the glasses is quite cute though, I could forgive them the £10 if they game me her number! (Yes I'm swinging that way again - can't make my mind up) :(

Filming The Foxy Ad

I've been keeping my eye out for the new Foxy Bingo advert on TV. A friend of mine's in it. I've tried their site where you get £5 free, but I'm not a massive fan. I want to see if my friend is in it, and no, she isn't the fox! In the meantime, they have a making of video up on YouTube. I couldn't see her in there, but maybe you'll spot someone you know!

Free Bingo Video Channel

I spotted the free bingo site FreeBingo.co.uk have their own video channel at YouTube. That's pretty cool! They give you an introduction to their site which is good fun and costs you nothing to play (as long as you don't mind the adverts! I've been giving it a go every now and again when I'm to skint for the proper bingo. It's not quite the same but they have a great community.

The Best Bingo - Videos And Photographs

I spotted a site that interested me earlier looking at some bingo stuff. They're called The Best Bingo and have some pages that pull together lots of different bingo related content including news stories, photographs and videos. I like how the videos change every day from YouTube, as does the pictures. I keep dropping in to see what's new, I thought I'd share some of my favourites I spotted via the site. Some of the videos I liked included this one that shows you the correct way to get your dabber working prior to a bingo session (the things people make videos about!) And another featured my mate Metallica Matt as he took a stroll through a bingo night dressed as the Crow. He's a one, if he wasn't with that scrawny bird, he would be mine. Turns my knickers to jelly he does! :)

Bingo Bob Loves His Bingo

I was thinking of giving Multiply a try out, but I prefer Blogger. Any way, I spotted this fellow over at the site and he's quite a handsome bingo fan. I'll have to see if he fancy's taking me out on a date at some point! To play bingo of course, come on Bingo Bob, give us a comment or something. :) Shame he lives in Wales, I wonder if he ever comes to London to play? There's so many bingo halls in London - but this is one of my favourites. Just look at the wonderful Art Deco exterior. It's absolutely lush. They don't make them like that any more!

Bingo In The USA - Emily Sweeney's Video Blog: Bingo!

Spotted this video, it's a look at the strange American version of the game. Interesting seeing all the different superstitions the players have, one even sprinkles sugar over the cards for good luck. I found it Here - Emily Sweeney's Video Blog: Bingo!

Bingo Caller Of The Year

Did you know they have a competition to find the best bingo caller every year?! Well they do, and to prove it here's some interesting links for you about the competition. They had a news story to prove it at the bbc, a bloke called Blake Robson won it. There's also a video about the competition here.

Bingo Dame The Cat

Welcome to my blog! It's wicked, I've tried myspece before but it's so dull and slow, wanted to do something here, so here's my blog about bingo featuring stuff I like about it online. The word gives me thrills and that, just like playing the game. So here's my first bit of bingo bits, a nice link! Haha, this cracked me up - it's a cat who lives with a bingo caller. How cool. I love cats almost as much at I love bingo!
